May and June seem to have gone by so quickly but when we looked back at the last few realised just how much we fit into those two months. Here is a little glimpse into what Room 20 got up to over the last few weeks.

We made cartoon strips during art. We had to use our finger and thumb prints to make the body of each character. We used markers to add details, like eyes and limbs, and speech bubbles.

We grew pea and cress plants in science and did some experiments to see what our plants needed to grow properly.

In maths we were learning about graphs and data. We created surveys, then went to the other 4th classes to carry out our surveys and displayed our findings on different types of graphs.

In SPHE we were leaning all about different cultures around the world. We learned how to say hello in different languages and researched the different ways Christmas is celebrated around Europe. We also researched all about different foods and dishes from a variety of countries around the world. One country which we were particularly interested in was India so we decided to cook an Indian curry and rice to taste. Our class went to the breakfast club with Ms Fleming and Ms O’Donnell to cook a Chicken Korma and rice dish. We cooked naan bread, somosas and onion bhajis to taste too. These are all popular foods in India. We really, really liked all the food we tasted .. especially the somosas!
