We have been learning about looking after our teeth in science this week. 
To show the importance of brushing our teeth everyday we did a science experiment. 
We soaked eggs in different liquids to show the effects that sugar, acid and calcium can have on our teeth. 

We soaked the eggs in water, vinegar, milk and coke. 
After 24 hours we found the following results:

  • The egg in water stayed the same.
  • The egg in vinegar turned squishy and the shell started dissolving.
  • The egg in coke had brown stains on it.
  • The egg in milk got brighter and shiny
