On Friday, Mr. Carroll & Mr. Mullen’s classes got to chance to visit Tallaght Fire Station. π₯
First we met Ger and the team and he told us lots of interesting information about their jobs.
He showed us the alarms that sound when there is an emergency. π¨
We got to see the all fire trucks.π
Then we got to see how the firemen rescue a passenger that is trapped in a crashed car. π
Everybody also got to have a go of shooting the powerful water hose.
Finally we got to go inside the fire station and see lots of memorabilia that the firemen collected over the years. There was old helmets, medals, equipment and even a newspaper article from 1916!
We had a great afternoon!!
Thanks to Joanne from Dublin bus for driving us down π
