What a day at Francis’ FC. Our St. Thomas’ girls headed into the South Dublin competition today.

We started in a tricky group of four (including a spicy matchup against local rivals St. Marks), but the girls were on fire from the jump.

The Path to the Final

• Game 1: A proper scrap. It was a tough battle, but our star striker Halle bagged the winner to get us off the mark.

• Game 2: A solid draw to keep the points ticking over.

• Game 3: We were officially “roaring” by this point. A comfortable win meant we cruised into the knockouts with plenty of confidence.

Clinical in the Knockouts 🚀

The Semi-Final was a total breeze. A 6-0 win showed exactly what this team is capable of. Halle and Addison were clinical in front of goal, Robyn was pulling the strings with a brilliant assist, and Libby was a wall at the back—nothing was getting past her.

The Final was more of the same—a dominant 5-0 victory. Halle, Addison, and Robyn all found the net, but the real story was the work rate. Poppie, Macey, Libby, Millie, and Laragh were everywhere, closing down space. Our super goalies Poppie and Macey were making sure we kept a clean sheet when it mattered most.

15+ goals scored over five matches is impressive, but the best part was the teamwork. The girls never stopped encouraging each other and played with a massive amount of heart.

Huge well done to the whole squad. Enjoy the win—on to the next one! 💪⚽️
