Room 10 learned all about the Digestive System. Here are some facts they learned:

(1)    Saliva is the juice that helps to break up the food in your mouth.

(2)    The oesophagus is the tube the joins the mouth to the stomach. (It’s 25cm long)

(3)    Poem: Your blood is red, some veins are blue, all your teeth help you chew, then the food goes down your throat, and in stomach acid kind of floats. (By Sophie Grogan – Room 10)

(4)    The large intestine is shorter but wider than the small intestine. (The small intestine is 1metre long)

They even decorated some pictures using egg cartons, tissue paper, different coloured paints and some fabric. They all did great examples.
