Michael Morpurgo is one of our favourite authors. We think that his book “The Butterfly Lion” is definitely worth reading. We read it together as a class. It is set in both England and South Africa and is about a boy called Bertie. We won’t give much away but be warned there is an emotional ending! We wrote diary entries as part of our English lesson and we even made our own butterfly lion in art!
