I entered the “Doodle4Google” competition not expecting to get anywhere. I was so pleased to get to the semi- final never mind the final! On Monday myself, my Dad and Ms. English went to the Google offices in town for a prize-giving event. All the children who had made it to the final were there. When we arrived, we checked in and I got a t-shirt with my doodle on it along with a little goody bag.

As we were going up the stairs, all the finalists’ names were on the steps in lights! There was a reception with a great selection of foods and drinks from cookies and rolls to smoothies and drinks!

After a while we went into the auditorium and we eagerly awaited the news. I didn’t win but I was proud of myself for making it so far. I was presented with a framed picture of my doodle by the Vice-President of Google Ireland, Ronan Harris! After the presentation, there was a chance to decorate a photo frame and eat even more food! I would just like to say thank you to everyone who voted for me!!!
