We have been learning all about Ancient Egypt in room 6. The Ancient Egyptians lived over 5,000 years ago. We learned about why the River Nile was so important to the Ancient Egyptians. It provide them with food, transport, trade and protection. It floods every year which helps fertilse the soil on the banks of the river where farmers could grow crops.

We have also been facinated about Tutunkahmun and the discovery of his tomb by Howard Carter.

We wrote diary entries from the perspective of Howard Carter on the day he discovered the tomb!

Ms Sargent also helped us to make some some Egyptain Necklaces called ‘Wesekh’ in art!
