In Room 22, we have been learning about Kenya. Kenya is a country in east Africa.

We learned about the geography of Kenya and drew maps. Kenya has some desert and lots of national parks. Kenya is home to the worlds fastest, the worlds tallest and the worlds largest land mammals – the cheetah, the giraffe and the elephant! Some people visit Kenya to go on safari.

We looked at photos of Kenya. The capital of Kenya is Nairobi and there are many sky scrapers there.

We also did some projects on Kenyan food. Ugali is a staple food of Kenya made from maize.

Some people learned about the Maasai Mara, they are a nomadic tribe who live in Kenya and wear bright colourful clothing and play traditional music and dance.

We did some East African paper weaving for art.

Check out some of our maps and projects.
